8th International Symposium on Advanced Science and Technology in Experimental Mechanics!
Dear all,
On behalf of the ISEM Steering Board of JSEM and the Organizing Committee of 8th ISEM, we are pleased to announce The 8th International
Symposium on Advanced Science and Technology in Experimental Mechanics [8th ISEM’13-Sendai] to be held from November 3 to 6, 2013, at
Sendai City War Reconstruction Memorial Hall, Sendai, Japan. The Symposium was originally supposed to be held in Sendai in 2011, but was
forced to be postponed until 2013. This is because the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11 in 2011 and the coastal area of
Tohoku district had catastrophic damage by huge Tsunami. Now, the coastal area has been still under reconstruction, but the downtown of
Sendai city has already been recovered, and we are ready to welcome you in Sendai city.
So far we have held the successful meetings of the 7th in Taipei in 2012 (as a joint Conference with ISEM-ACEM-SEM-7th ISEM’12-Taipei,
the 6th in Osaka (Kansai Int. Airport) in 2011, the 5th in Kyoto in 2010, the 4th in Niigata in 2009, the 3rd in Tainan, Taiwan in 2008,
the second in Osaka in 2007 and the inaugural in Sapporo in 2006.
